Strong, Lightweight, Tactical Mount For Secure Attachment Of Comp Series Sights

Compact tactical mount securely positions an Aimpoint red dot optic the correct height above a flattop receiver rail. Fits Aimpoint CompC3/M2/ML2/M3/ML3 series, 3XMAG magnifier, and other optics with 30mm tube that require single-ring mounting. Skeletonized construction provides full support without the weight of excess metal for an exceptionally strong, solid, yet lightweight mount. Four, steel, hex-head cap screws anchor the top ring half to the mount to ensure full contact with sight body to prevent slippage. Rail Grabber clamping system secures the mount to receiver and maintains sight alignment even under the battering of sustained rapid fire. Unique, captive cross-bolt is divided lengthwise; one side provides a slop-free fit in a MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny slot, while rotating the bolt a half turn exposes the side that snugs into the narrower Weaver-type slot. An oversized thumb nut with deep grasping grooves lets the operator tighten the mount with hand pressure only; coin slot in the head lets you apply additional tightening force with a U.S. nickel or quarter.

SPECS: Aluminum, hardcoat anodized, matte black finish. Height measured from top of rail to bottom of scope tube: 1.120” (2.84cm). 3.1 oz. (88g) weight. Fits Aimpoint CompC3/M2/ML2/M3/ML3, 3XMAG magnifier, and other optics that require a single 30mm ring mount.

If u r considering this first buy a 3.5mm allen wrench as it is not included.
Also, I would recommend a throwlever mount as it is much more secure.
Finally, If you're like me and want to make your own "civie" MK18 then take this into consideration. Just because the SEAL's use it does'nt necessarily make it "the best". Don't be afraid to use your own creative instincts! It's YOU'RE rifle so make it something other than standard issue!

Great Hastle Free Mount (29/08/2013)

Been running this for a year or so on a 10.5 Short barrel AR15. It's a lower 1/3 mount. I don't remove my Aimpoint, and have found that I don't miss a quick release feature at all. I only wish the twist knob was a more standard tool. Not a big deal though.

Great mount. Have run it on my 10.5 SBR for over a year, and like the strength of it.

Not a fan of how narrow the rings are on most of the other mounts out there. I like a wider "grip" on the Aimpoint tube.

Replacing my PRO factory mount with another of these. Also it is a lower 1/3 which I've grown to prefer.
