This mount is for 1" (25.4 mm) magazine tubes only. There are other vendors that sell them for 25 and 26mm tubes. Seeing as I wanted to put this on a Benelli M1 Super 90, I should have bought the 26mm mount. But... I figured since I was ordering some stuff from Brownells already, and they had it at a better price, I figured I would get the 1" one anyway and just open it up by 0.4 mm, or 0.025 inches. Big mistake. I thought that with it being aluminum, it would be easy enough. Well, it took a long time with a half round metal file just to get through the anodizing. The rest of the metal came off slowly as well. After 2 hours of work, I found myself wishing that I had've just bought the 26mm version through a different vendor!



But, once I got it opened up, I was able to put it on my shotgun and mount a streamlight polytac light. It is lightweight, low profile, and puts the clicky tail cap right in front of my thumb's natural position when holding the forend.

Used this mount to attach a Fenix TK12 to my Winchester 1300 Defender. It's head and shoulders above a couple of plastic mounts I've tried, and I wish I'd just paid the money for this in the first place. Really solid. So well made and finished it looks like what a gun manufacturer would include as original equipment. Two comments: Make sure the light you intend to mount is no more than 1.00 inches along an entire section so you can slide it into the mount. And, the allen hex wrench that was included in the package was too small for the cap screws....you'll need a 3/8" to install this mount.

Pure and simple. Good material, fine finish, no complications.

i bought this to use on my duty 870(Deputy Sheriff). Mounts very easily I am running a Wilson COmbat/Scattergun Tech. +2 mag entension. Mount slides on easily and locks up tight. I used a little lock tight on it and it has not budged.I am using a Surefire G2 and it fits perfectly with no movement. I have recently took a shotgun course with mount attached and it is still rock solid. Have around 400 rds. thru it from light bird shot loads to full power slugs and 00 Buck. No movement Light is easily accessible with thumb and deploys easily. WOrks better than scope rings or other mounts I have tried and compared to the alternative I had( Surefure forend) much much cheaper. I would definately recommend this to anyone who needs an economical well made, solid mount. Brownells as usual was flawless. Thanks

I intended to use the mount on my home defense shotgun. Howerver, the magazine extention that I have is the ATI 2 round extension. this mount does not fit this magazine mount. After reading another user's post about having to bend the clamp a little to get it to fit his shotgun, I decided that it would not be that hard to install. I was wrong. In the description, it stated that it (the mount) fits all magazine tubes up to 1". This is misleading, it does not and will not fit a one inch mag tube. I do not recommend this product to anyone.

I have this mounted to a Maverick 88 12g and it it rock solid. It installed very easily and hasn't moved in over 100rds.

If you search youtube for "Solar Force L2 shotgun recoil test" you will see a video that I made shooting almost 100rds using this mount.

Installed this mount on my rem 870 and it is by far the best and most solid mount i have ever had. Is rock solid and i dont see it moving ever. the 1" opening for the light is very tight and holds the flash light very tight. the structure is rock solid and finish seems very durable. this mount is worth the the money!!!

This is a quality product, however it is unforgiving when it comes to the size of your flashlight. I tried three different tactical 1" (25mm) lights and none will fit. The entire light needs to be 1" without clips or buttons on the barrel, they will not fit through the opening. The same goes for your guns extension tube or barrel, no vented ribs. I returned mine instead of spending $40 -$90 on another quality flashlight. There are other mounts that will work.

Looked like a good mount for the Surefire on my 870. [...] Was very easy to mount with the included allen wrench and added loctite to keep it in place. Outstanding mount! Quality all the way. Ran some live fire drills with the combo and this is the best mount I've ever used or seen.Highly recommend this unit for your home defense or duty weapon.

This is a rock solid mount, much better than using barrel clamps and such. One complaint is that it is kinda glossy. I would like to see it in more of a matte finish. Another thing to mention is that it is a really tight fit over a Choate parked tube. I bent the mount open just a tad to avoid damaging the finish on the tube.

Fit was perfect, finish very smooth and appears durable. Once mounted, complete assembly was rock-solid on my 500A.

This is a truly great design that puts the light in exactly the right spot. It even looks good, for what it's worth on a tactical shotgun! Works ambidextrously as well.
