The AK platform, though renowned for its reliability and durability in battlefield conditions, has a well-known flaw: its gas system is hugely overgassed. Luckily, the market stepped up to provide a solution in the form of the KNS Precision AK Adjustable Gas Piston. How do you know if your AK-style rifle needs better gas regulation? Head to the range, fire a few rounds and see how far your brass ejects. If it's hitting the ground more than 15 feet away, then you need the KNS Precision AK Adjustable Gas Piston. This setup helps to reduce wear on the gun, providing for a longer operating life. Uses existing gas block Small-caliber piston designed for .223 Rem., 5.56 NATO and 5.45x39mm Large-caliber piston designed for 7.62x39mm, .308 Win., and 7.62x54R Fits AKM, AK-74, VEPR, PSL and M92 rifles Each KNS Precision AK Adjustable Gas Piston can be installed without the use of a gunsmith in the space of 10 minutes, ensuring you can get back onto the range with little downtime.

* Vepr and Saiga Pistons will require drilling through the op-rod after screwing the piston into the carrier, due to variations in the staking location. These Op-Rods are Phosphated instead of Nitrided to allow easy drilling.*
